Why can't employees accept?

Yes, that's right, why can't employees accept that at&t is in real trouble. Looking more and more like bankruptcy is inevitable. All of these short term gimmicks will do nothing to change course. Don't bother uprooting your life to move to a hub, you... — read more

Here comes the axe

ATO round two. Notified June 22nd and off books on July 6th for management. Non-management will be notified based on union contract.

RTO

My group was originally told that we would be RTO 5x per month and this would start in September. We were just told we will report to a temporarily location (non hub city), 3x a week starting in July.

Long term prediction

The current situation is parallel to the leadership of C. Michael Armstrong. AT&T will be sold or taken over for a second time. Only the brand will remain. Leadership will be purged. Stankey will walk away with hundreds of millions of dollars.

There will be no hubs ten years from now

Other than people who work in the field and are absolutely necessary, Stankey and his cohorts will first cut all that they can from the offices and then outsource those remaining jobs to cheaper countries. That's where all of this is leading. There... — read more

Facts on Chicago

A response on Chicago. First, AT&T doesn’t own the building at Monroe & Franklin. It hasn’t for years. Second, 6th level recommendations go to Stankey on June 15 or 16. Letters to those impacted go out on June 30. Third, Chicago could — but it... — read more

Solution Provider Employment Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good solution provider that hires ex-AT&T sales reps? And also wouldn’t care if it was a termination for fraudulent sales practices? Asking for a friend.

"within 30 days"

T minus 2 weeks. I still don't believe this will happen, at least for some groups. There have been rumors of "by June 30" (45 days). This being very much like other Stankey brainchilds, implementation will at best be inconsistent, maybe get fully... — read more

July 20 will be interesting

Second quarter earnings are going to be announced on July 20. Will Stanley be able to show he's made more the 1 billion toward the 2023 goal of 16 billion in FCF? If no significant progress, we may see him go p0st@l with reductions in Q3 and Q4. ... — read more

#firejohnstankey

AT&T's largest investors (Vanguard, Blackrock, State Street) need to demand our elected chairman (Bill Kennard) to hold JTS accountable for T's performance. These investors hold the majority of companies stock, 20% in total and they need to demand... — read more

How to Succeed without really trying

John's always got a turnaround coming around the corner: Yeah, so we tried and failed to acquire TMob, but just you wait till we milk sweet cash from DirecTV. That's not going so well, but hey—lets get us a media property like Comcast and... — read more

Employee Protest - Switch your Wireless!

Everyone go to T-Mobile and switch their personal wireless accounts in protest. That would amount to easily hundreds of thousands of disconnects. Reality is, even after a 50% discount, T-Mobile is a better deal.

June 22nd Letters

We’ve been hearing a lot about letters coming out by June 22 but does anyone have any information/ideas on what those first actual letters will say? Will it just be an initial notification of where your hub location is and a poll of whether you are... — read more

Watt Ave Sacramento location

T needs someone from outside the bell system

Once again, the upper management is still stuck in the old baby bell mentality when they were the only players in town and ran the business as a monopoly. They are from the SBC environment! Since the breakup in 1984, T has been stuck in that... — read more

Please, don't quit!

I said this before and I'll say it again: the ELT is counting on that. They don't have nearly enough room for all of us in the hubs. Say you'll relocate, get a room for the first week, and watch what happens when everybody shows up at the same time... — read more

Precisely your $6B cost reduction

Prediction: by the end of March 2024 (following significant surplus). AT&T will have 120,000 employees. 40,000 less than today. This is precisely your $6B cost reduction.

Not worth getting worked up about

Keep me, fire me, at this point I don't care. It baffles me how my work group can be so productive, efficient, and responsible with the companies dollars and assets while those high up are rewarded and burn through investors capital with nothing to... — read more

No Bonus for 2023?

Already June of '23 and no word on quarterly standings. Me thinks there is no plan this year or they would have been boasting about it.
