Smiling minions

How do those of you that go and listen to Stankey speak in ATL, and then stand in line for selfies with him with those huge grins on your faces sleep at night? Have you no shame? Do you honestly think he cares about you in any way whatsoever? Do you... — read more

RTO for differences

As a full time office worker I’ve noticed as people start to return to the office they take Mondays and Friday's off and show up around 9 and leave around 3. Why do i have to work 40hrs in office when others don’t? My job can be done from anywhere... — read more

Hey Media People- more detail for thought

Per Bloomberg, “ The return-to-office mandate, which starts in July in Dallas and Atlanta and will be implemented everywhere else by Sept. 4, will apply to more than 60,000 managers. Stankey said that 85% of those people live near one of the offices... — read more

Even Hub employees won’t last long

Mexico City is hiring rapidly. I’ve heard from multiple people in transformation that there will still be massive layoffs in 2024. They are outsourcing nearly everything bc of massive debt. Get out now people. They don’t care about you, being in... — read more

D Day

Good luck my ATT brothers and sisters. Today is the day our designations to live are loaded into the system and our fate chosen. Feels a bit like hunger games, or maybe Harry Potter with the sorting hat determining our city?

Delay in RTO (a/k/a layoffs)

Some groups were expecting RTO (layoffs) to be announced Friday, June 16. It’s been delayed at least a week. Why? ‘Cause uncertainty, protracted poor morale and low productivity are a “clever” way to do business, amirite?

This sums up the failure of AT&T......

ATT EXECUTIVES in 2012?: LETS BUY A MOBILE COMPANY WITH A MULTIBILLION DOLLAR FAILURE EXPENSE IF IT DOESNT GO THRU, CANT GO TI-S UP! ATT EXECUTIVES LIKE a year later; let’s buy a satellite provider! People aren’t cutting cords! That’s crazy! Can’t... — read more

Today 6/15

Nothing happen today. What all the talk about big thing happen today?

Has anyone gotten a Connection Award in 2023?

As a reminder, this is what the "Key Contributor Awards" were transitioned to a few years ago. They would be awarded for big successes and project completions throughout the year. Just like Stankey et al say today that RTO is not a headcount... — read more

Bonus plan, job titles being changed in 2024

Little impact for L1 or L3 and above. But L2 will be segmented to align with international bands. Some L2 new titles will me drop from 11% to lower percentage. Interestingly enough, some international L2 equivalents will get pay bumps while domestic... — read more

Management is not union so they have no rights.

Management has no union rights and can be expected to be tossed to the wind. Poor planning for those so highly? educated and weak. Banding together could have at least got a high dollar severance exit package.

Who Exactly Has To Relocate ?

I got out of that hellhole a few years ago. So now I am completely out of the loop. Does this relocate or else plan apply to what used to be the first level U-verse network managers ?. Not sure what AT&T decided to call them now.

There is absolutely no culture at AT&T anymore.

When I say no culture, I mean it does not exist. Everyone hates this place. It is hard to look past arrogant S0B's as leadership who are clueless about business and have destroyed everything they touch. If they carry out the plan that was set... — read more

Jeremy should RTC

Jeremy L should Return To College so he can take science classes. The BA is not enough for a CTO. We can keep ELI5 for upper managers to understand our complex network.

Here's a question

How does anyone feel about working at ATT after this inane plan is completed? Some people will be happy to move, some won't have to, lots will leave. If you are going to stay, what is your department going to look like afterwards? Does this affect... — read more

you folks that stayed -well thats on you

i get it is an easy check but the company hasnt done anything meaningful for a decade, not sure how the marketing or IT orgs or Labs even exists, zero value add, good luck trying to find a job in a real tech company -you're screwed now

Minnesofuct

Hey, how are y'all doing up there today? Still smiling?

Will they succeed at it?

If one of the main behind-the-scenes goals of RTO is to motivate as many people as possible to leave, I wonder to what extent they will succeed at it? Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to land anything better.

The biggest IRONY of the RTO policy

A leading telecommunications firm whose core business products are literally technologies that enable working from ANYWHERE, states that the model of distributed work is flawed and unworkable for a business concerned about fostering employee... — read more

New Job before Severance Payout

I am currently looking for new jobs and have gotten a few interviews. If I get an offer before AT&T can make up their mind about a timeline, is it worth taking before the severance payout?

Anyone hear any updates from CS&O?

Haven't heard a whole lot of updates since the original announcement. Anyone hearing any progress on CS&O? Like where people will be located and when they need to be there?

Don't count on unemployment to save you

See a few posts discussing unemployment benefits... make sure to research your local/state laws. My state has a max payout which is less than 50% (closer to 30%) of what I earn for salary. A second/part time job only allows you to earn approx 30% of... — read more
