Protect yourself and be curious!

I wish the American workforce was smarter and learned to look after themselves and their families. A company’s actions internally are a bullhorn if you are smart enough to pay attention! In Allstate’s case, the day they announced the change in... — read more

How much more outsourcing

I’ve watched a ton of jobs go either overseas (where labor is cheap) or they are replaced by technology and AI. Nothing enrages a customer more than the inability to reach someone by phone that fluently speaks their language. Their other locations... — read more

I Wish the Best For You

As a retired Allstate Claim employee, it deeply saddens me to see what the company has become and how you are now being treated. The benefits were very good for our “generation”, the work was fun, and we cared about the customer and the company. With... — read more

Chandler LDU

Anyone else stressed about the direction in which LDU is going? They laid off some of the most tenured top performing adjusters and the rest are quitting but we keep getting more and more work. We were told CO & WA claims would be temporary but it’s... — read more

Exclusive Agents Allstate is YOUR competition

With the 2500 agents they are hiring through 2021, 500 are planned to be in place by years end. These agents will sell Allstate P&C products with the renewals being rolled into Allstate. Unless you are allowing your agents to work from home, set... — read more

What’s next?

I don’t want to wait until late October to know our date.

Are salary reductions next?

Been wondering what's the next thing Allstate could throw our way this year... With the coronavirus as an excuse, I could see them instituting a temporary salary reduction that could easily turn into something permanent. Not sure what else is left to... — read more

Yes more layoffs are coming

Wilson told the news outlet that the shift toward less driving has meant that fewer employees are needed as fewer accidents are occurring. “This is a big first step, but this is not the end of our need to continue to reduce costs,” Wilson said... — read more

Retiree Medical Subsidy GONE!

And now they take away the only retirement benefit left. The emails went out today from HR. If you started before 2003 and are not retirement eligible before 12/31/2020 you don't get the retiree medical discount. What a sh–ty thing to do.

Single people vs families

I can understand why people with kids are so upset about being laid off, but what I can’t understand is why people who are single with no kids are so scared. If your single with no kids, you can work retail, deliver pizzas, drive for Uber, exc... — read more

Ohio RMBC

Seeing the info about Irving makes me think they can’t be too far off from making the announcement for Ohio. Just get on with it.

Neither Mild Nor Temporary

The biggest mistake one can make, and most have, is to assume this economic crisis will be mild or temporary. You'll want to assume that it is, since that path requires you to make no hard decisions or changes to your life. For most, the downturn... — read more

Northbrook layoffs?

Is the Northbrook offices being affected with this new layoff announcement?

Goodbye, Allstate..

They just laid off the whole RMBC department in Irving. Farewell. Sigh.

ALLSTATE FULL OF IT!

So they said they laid us off bc people are driving less and they gave money back. Makes no sense. If folks are driving less, you saving money. My work load is back to precovid levels, so claims hasn't fell off! You still getting premiums every... — read more

What's the deal with today?

More layoffs or no? I'm guessing we would have known by now if there was more, but it doesn't hurt to check.

When will this feeling go away?

This "sick to my stomach" kind of feeling that assaults me when I even think about work, not to mention when I actually have to deal with it? And it's only gotten worse with layoffs. I really don't remember feeling like this as recently as maybe six... — read more

EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION/CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT?

Email Notice

Has anyone gotten their email regarding their severance?

Cutting it close

Work load of laid off employees

Do any of the laid off employees in LDU know if or when they will start decreasing the number of claims we get a day?. I was laid off and it’s hard to know you won’t have a job but still are getting the max number of claims daily.
