I was happy that my job was straight eliminated. No assessment to give me false hope – just a kick in the pants to jumpstart the next chapter of my professional life. And even if this sounds a bit arrogant, I won't be applying to any jobs at Allstate. This company just told me that it doesn't value me as a professional, why would I want to spend my energy and passion there? I'm embracing this – I'm destined to land in a role that will enable me to make a better contribution to society at large – to dedicate my time and energy to a better cause. I know I have a lot to give.
I'm fired up and ready to go.
