Hi All, I amt new to AMD, and I am not sure if layoffs already happened or is it going to happen?

From what I’m reading here and hearing from others, it seems that most teams are being hit. Is anyone safe? If you know of exceptions, please share.

I'm on visa, it would be very helpful to know the last day on payroll if I'm affected. Thank you.

Please tell me which teams got impacted? This is a complete shock.

I really don't mean to sound insensitive, I'm just trying to figure out what to expect if I'm affected.

I have not yet heard anyone from my team got impacted yet. Wonder how long will this layoff process last? 1 week, 2 weeks?

Should send Lisa Su an email or tweet at her and ask why? Letting go a bunch of regular 5 figure a year workers for what? A corporate rat who is disconnected from the actual company can get a bigger bonus?

Yup I can confirm that I gotten the cut as well and internally there was no notice before hand the leadership just seemed optimistic and its sad how they are always almost never truthful in what they say

Just got laid off by AMD. Last "official" day with the company is June 16th. Severence package 6 weeks.

They all want to do it the "Intel Way" which seems wrong to me. First, they wanted us to develop all custom, synthetic test software, and now they're harping on test cards. No wonder Intel can't ship anything on time.
