I got laid off too from my MTS role in Markham!!
Two from my team got affected, and many others who I worked with daily...
Got laid off too, my manager just read a script and took me to a media room where they forfeited ID and laptop, didnt even let me go pickup my bag from my cube. My manager had to go. Felt disrespectful after long nights of work and all the praises from the team. Not sure how they decided this layoff and what is the justification
Laid off today also.
D3D software org lost at minimum 4-5 engineers today. Several others had already left without their positions being backfilled recently. The team was already short staffed before any of this happened. Execs are going to ki-l the company chasing this AI bubble for short term profits and it's only going to hurt the people who do the actual work.

my team was still predicting that next years bonus pool will hit 100%, and then this happens

Lost a manager today, definitely reeling and concerned about the future. I haven't been able to find anything in HR docs about what the severance policy is for the US. Does anyone know?

Same here. Definitely wasn't expecting it. Got what I consider to be a generous severance, which softens the blow.
Yes. Just found out. Total shock. Supposedly the decision was made “way up high” beyond my managers hands but it still feels personal.
