I was laid off on November 15th after almost 8 years of service. Was it hurtful, yes, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I had secured another job before I left my last one. I now work a job that I enjoy and I look forward to coming to... — read more

University of Phoenix is a long way away from shutting down--though it could eventually happen. Despite its falling numbers and its declining reputation, UoP is still the largest so-called "university" in the US. UoP also can make more significant... — read more

WHO?
Who is Chris Felton?
Disgusted
They fired Chris Felton. Speechless. Knew this place had become a total shit show but this takes the cake. Only good thing is that I have an exit strategy and now feel no guilt as all of the good senior leaders are officially gone. Now just the same... — read more
University of Phoenix is shutting down
I know this might sound ludicrous but in my opinion UOP will shut down within next few years. I think the demand will continue to drop, the quality of education will remain substandard and the public outcry will continue to grow. The growth of online... — read more
UOP Severance
What's the average severance at UOP (I am with COCO)? Any rules about this?
Don't get pumped about severance
The severance package may seem good, but when you get it, in more than a month, most of it is gone in taxes. I'm assuming UOP lists your entire severance as one week of work, so the government walks away with half. Just FYI
EA in C-town
Just riding it out, not enrolling anyone. No CD, no directors, we do what we want. Ready for Christmas break. Gimme my severance
C-town is now ghost town
No students and still too many employees. DAA is campus director now. Please close this campus down. It's a waste of building space.
Columbus
Why is there an SSC who looks like she hasn't washed her hair in months sitting at the front desk
Sick time
You can get paid for your unused sick time. They passed that pathetic rule regarding sick time because the organization knew it would be laying off thousands of individuals.
Attorney
If you have not received your severance within 2 weeks, you need to contact an attorney ASAP

Lawsuit
UOP is evidently waiting on a lawsuit. I have been told by several people that it took 3-4 months for them to get severance. Everyone needs to contact an attorney. Sounds like they are mKing up rules as they go
Severance
Laid off 2 weeks ago, no severance yet. Was told everyone over 40 had to wait longer
Ethics and Compliance?????? Really? WTF???
Internal staff battles, employee affairs of the heart with each other, witch hunting and simply ineffective leadership. Why have they not lost anyone during the layoffs?
Nick and Angela - still banging?
Why have these 2 not been fired yet?
It's comming

Most ground campus EAs can't enroll for their campuses anymore.
They have to have other campuses halfway across the US enroll for them
