That was the lamest statement I've heard in 10 years of working in IT.
Golden parachute
Half of these guys on stage are seriously making arrangements to trigger their golden parachutes but we are told to keep our heads down and work. Such nonsense!
Captain Cost
He seems so disoriented or disorientated since we are a global company ;). Is he justifying his job and position or coaching us. What a joke.

If only we had a good leadership team
Cutting costs through layoffs is the only thing that McK can think of as a strategy. If only we had a leadership team that we admired and looked up to. A leadership team that provided vision and admitted when they make mistakes. Instead we are... — read more
I'm mentally checked out
I don't care if I do my job well. I just don't care about anything work related anymore. I don't even care if I'm laid off or even fired. I'll move on. This actually feels liberating. Thanks, TD. I know this was not what you hoped for, but it's the... — read more

DS - Case study on how to destroy a PM org by making a sales director from Slalom (and friend of the CEO) the head of PM

Teradata Cares…About the CEO and ELT
Downright shameful how much they rake in while the ship sinks. The apathetic board just takes their comp for a few hours work each quarter and looks the other way. None of them even know our industry or technology. Would you put any of them in... — read more
TDC - The Walking Dead

10% of staff to be pushed out the door to save $15 million this year.
In other words, we’re losing 10% of the company just to pay SM’s salary for the year. Not a good tradeoff. He’ll keep smiling, keep failing, and keep cutting while he keeps collecting an inflated paycheck.
As if restructuring plan is going to save us

When is the 9-10% RIF starting?
I’m guessing most of the RIF will happen this year based on the Q2 report. Does anyone know when it is starting?

Wow. Worse than we thought
So the results are almost all negative quarter to quarter and 2023 to 2024. Ten percent of the remaining survivors to be laid off. What company in their right mind would buy anything from Teradud? It’s going to be a brutal Q3.
$436 million versus $462 million
Can’t spin continued revenue decline in a growth market. All competitors growing by double digits.
How are things today?
Q2 results are bad. Anything related to layoffs?
2nd quarter results
Ahh, cut another 9-10% of the company to reduce expenses. Recurring revenue continues to decline, as does total ARR and cash flow / free cash flow. But hey, at least that leadership team will get more equity to sell.
A very "interesting" time to introduce BlueSky...
