Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Plans after ATT? Time for a career.

Been on the surplus list several times and honestly, I’m tired of the instability and so is my wife. You can’t plan a family around this, there is no way. But I’m optimistic. What are you guys plans for the future? I’m eager to hear.

There’s nothing that you CAN’T do brother. Take your skills somewhere where you’re needed and appreciated.

Unfortunately, I’ve had to involuntarily move my family several times and it never got easier for anyone. But that’s life within the company.

So shore up your Linkedn profile, update your resume, stay positive like you are and take control. Best wishes

Life is what you make it.

Change and death the only constants.

At&t is currently a large corporation with delusional and inept leadership running on the fumes and vapors of glory past.

I am in a similar situation. Frankly, I doubt I'll be able to find a job that pays as good as my current one. Looking into some options but $$$ are not there.

I quit a long time ago. Look into railroad signal man. It is all based on DC voltage and they like to hire people from the phone companies. The work is very similar to tip/ring. And they do not micro mange the hell out of you..no MSOC!!!
