If Verizon bought XM, it would ruin the service. I am a great fan XM!
If Verizon were to buy Sirius, they would likely low ball the DJ's on contract renewal, there by causing the talent to leave and then driving Sirius even further into the ground.
A few years later they would sell or write down the loss.
Too many times this company has looked for a bargain and lost. Recall the first Apple went to ATT; there is a reason why. You don't play hardball with Apple, you work with them.
If they do buy Sirius it will be in part to have a transport for IoT and other goodies.
If it is considered by most a stupid acquisition, they will not just buy it, but over pay by double and spin it off as oath 2.0.

Hopefully they do. And hopefully it will be the straw that breaks the camels back and it bankrupts Verizon. So sick of worthless junk being bought and the front line pays for it while leadership gets golden parachuts for their poor, poor, poor decisions. No accountability.
