For those that are leaving - good luck in retirement OR continuing on to your next chapter. We have to be thankful for the opportunity spent here. I made friendships that I hope will last a lifetime. VZ is second to none when you look at your overall compensation package. I'm very excited AND nervous to see what lies ahead.
For those that are staying - keep your head up and best wishes. I truly hope the leadership team takes care of those that are staying. I think the large STI payment is a sign that you are valued. I wouldn't take back any day I spent working for VZ and the customers we served. I will be rooting for you!
My final thought - I spent the last 6x months thinking about finances, career, etc. At the end of the day, what matters are the people in our lives. I plan to spend more quality time with my kids, make more frequent calls to my parents, plan more social outings, and just take the time to enjoy life a bit more.
