12 Days Left for VSPers!

For those that are leaving - good luck in retirement OR continuing on to your next chapter. We have to be thankful for the opportunity spent here. I made friendships that I hope will last a lifetime. VZ is second to none when you look at your overall compensation package. I'm very excited AND nervous to see what lies ahead.

For those that are staying - keep your head up and best wishes. I truly hope the leadership team takes care of those that are staying. I think the large STI payment is a sign that you are valued. I wouldn't take back any day I spent working for VZ and the customers we served. I will be rooting for you!

My final thought - I spent the last 6x months thinking about finances, career, etc. At the end of the day, what matters are the people in our lives. I plan to spend more quality time with my kids, make more frequent calls to my parents, plan more social outings, and just take the time to enjoy life a bit more. Many blessings to those that roam this corner of the internet.

Thanks!! VSP was like winning the lottery for me. Firstly, I couldn't believe they even offered it to me and was even more surprised they accepted me when I clicked "Yes." I've already accepted a new position (programmer) starting 7/8 with a bump in pay and comparable benefits. With VSP payout I'm paying off my mortgage!! Thank you VZ!!

I agree, I am excited for the next adventure as well. Not sure why people feel the need to be so nasty. Those of us who chose to take the VSP did it with much consideration. If someone feels the need to express their feelings (which by the way was very well spoken) we should be respectful and not be A$$Holes about it...

To the original person who posted, good luck to you, you have the right mindset and don't pay attention to the stupid stuff.

The best part of my VSP is it was paid for with EISP money. God bless Verizon for my new found wealth! Lovin it!

All companies need to care about the bottom line, otherwise they won't be in business for long. My issues have always been with the choices Verizon has made to go about that. They'll try to save a dollar short-term and end up wasting several times that in the long-run.

I feel loved and cherished. Every two weeks when I check my bank account, rainbows, unicorns, and carnations flutter about. Big red is like a loving mother who keeps the monsters away and tells me everything will always be ok. I have never felt so loved, needed, or valued as I do today. Long live wireline, long live our beautiful and supportive union and the brotherhood and sisterhood that goes with it. I love you Hans. You’ll always be my boo. And, if you’re reading this, I love you too. 2 . OOH YEAH!!
