It's rather crafty to have Mexico based labor as it can still be marketed as American jobs. With Mexico being a part of North America it technically is an American country. These jobs are not USA jobs, but American jobs.

Lots of jobs have been and are being moved to Mexico where pay is 1/4 of US. Large call center with over 3000 employees there. Law requires management be there as well. AT&T has a huge goal to move more jobs there and Mexican government is employer friendly not employee friendly

Plenty of jobs being created, just not in the US. There is always fine print when agreements are made.

We tend to look at this business in region only. Lot of things happening on the wireless side outside of our footprint.

I do think they hired temporary construction for the fiber build out. It would have been foolish for anyone to believe that whatever hiring was done was going to put the 20-20 plan on hold.

I never thought the jobs would have anything to do with other than Cap-Ex. The extra money from the tax cut meant more Cap-Ex. Meanwhile, landline telephony continues to go the way of the dodo bird.

He never claimed that he would hire 7000 people. Only take credit for 7000 jobs. Wireless growth with 5G and all has created jobs. Just not jobs at AT&T.

The purpose of the tax cuts was to make American business competitive with the rest of the world and spur investment (and hiring!!) by America's businesses. That obviously has NOT happened at AT&T on Randall's watch.

The only jobs Randall has created have been in overseas sweatshop call centers. The tax cut windfall has been used in Randall's further adventures in acquiring (and then ruining) other businesses.

Since Randall's AT&T has NOT used their tax cut windfall to create American jobs, raise their taxes back to the former rate and let AT&T pay their fair share of this nation's tax burden!

We get it already. They promised you some jobs you didn't get. Companies don't hire people just cause they have some extra cash. If the business isn't growing, or they don't need any more employees to do the job, they don't hire more. Move on. You knew it wasn't going to happen when they said it.
