Has anyone here transferred between districts through the NTP process? How did it affect your pension or possible service bridging issues. Fidelity seems to have no clue about anything to do with pension questions.

Reading the contract, it appears service continues to accrue. So, if you're in SouthEast for 15 years, and you go to Midwest, you'll arrive with 15 years, and the appropriate weeks of vacation for someone with 15 years will be available, depending on any other covenants in the contract.
From what I can tell, you'll have two pensions. Contributions will cease to the old one and start with the new one. But your term of employment will continue to accrue under both pensions.
Check with the union. And check the receiving organization's contract. If wireless is involved, it's probably the same, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
If you are covered under bargaining agreement and you move to area under different contract, there may be differences. Check with your union contacts.
