Call now . They’ll keep forwarding you to the pension side and you’ll get about 3 months of snail mail run around. You have to specifically say vsp. It’s a nightmare getting your money right up to the deadline.

Just go to VSP website, enter last 4 of SSN, name and DOB, you'll see your eligibility and can sign up for your membership there. FWIW, Costco is the best place to get glasses.
