Midwest needs to cut about 115 more prem techs in 4th quarter to meet budgetary expectations. Next year we will see prem techs merged with INR followed shortly by a wave of cuts to the newly merged inr techs as well as a garage rebalance preference.
Midwest field managers will be cut in half at this time also.
DTV will be going away and the focus on streaming will intensify going into next year. Broadband will be technicians future.
There was a required fiber build-out as a result of an agreement between the FCC and AT&T as part of the Direct TV acquisition. That fiber build-out is complete. Those people involved in hooking up new customers to this build-out probably have a problem. Others, not so much.
If E-time is being offered all the time, that is a pretty good indication of surplus force.

Satellite Internet ......maybe in 10 years and by then we will be delivering Tera-Bit service. Amazon says it has to launch over 3,300 satellites......it will take over 7 years to get them all up and keep them up....ridiculous

At&t is screwed anyway. Space-X just recently launched its first batch of internet satellites. These satellites are not like anything before. They are low orbit and will deliver 1gbps internet speed per user at a very competitive price. Amazon is launching similar. At&t played games deploying fiber across the country. It will soon regret that. I look forward to canceling my c-appy 45mpbs u-verse for space-x service.
