Space-X just recently launched its first batch of internet satellites. These satellites are not like anything before. They are low orbit and will deliver 1gbps internet speed per user at a very competitive price. And here’s the best part : LOW LATENCY. It will be great for gaming. Amazon is launching similar. At&t played games deploying fiber across the country. It will soon regret that. I look forward to canceling my c-appy 45mpbs u-verse for space-x service.

This is PR stunt. Obviously you don’t understand Physics my friend. Nothing travels faster than the speed of light, like Fiber does! What do you think connects to your cell tower or will connect to 5G pole mounted terminals? Fiber! Fiber is the future. It’s not going away to satellite service. If that was the case, AT&T would be launching satellites and canning it network long ago already!!

Al those low orb satellites will remind me of the scenes in Wall-E when try to escape the atmosphere and push out a bunch of sats in the way!

Good news for Rural Areas that get nothing. This will be a 100 times faster/availability then the Hughes Network. Amazon said it will launch around 3,300 low orbiting satellites--questions is evern at launching 1 a day ...it will take 7 years and in 7 years technology advances will make their satellites obsolete.

Too bad Space-X won't be able to provide sub-millisecond latency. Be 3-8 seconds at best.
Great! Thank goodness Elon Musk isn’t known for hyping something to a level he can’t realistically deliver! If Elon actually offers gigabit satellite internet to any measurable number of locations within 10 years I will eat my shorts.
The idea is to to provide sub dsl speed to places with no telecomm infrastructure. Basic connectivity. Don't get to excited.
Honestly, I like my fiber. It's reliable.
