Welcome to the real world where you commute to work and home on a daily basis as the majority of the population!!!!

Bombay, Mexico, Philippines, Atlanta or Dallas , you literally wake up at 5am, don’t see your kids, and get in around 8am, work until 5pm, and get home around 7:30pm. Just in time to say good night. Then do it all over again as you increase your carbon footprint.

JVB must be a terrible manager. I get he feeling she is a Marrissa Mayer “do as I say not as I do” with all the c-ap she posts about her kids. SHE has flex everybody who works for her doesn’t. That breeds resentment.

Well...bottom line It appears that no one has any insight into planned surplus dates, #,s, etc. However, we know it’s coming so prepare now as much as you can for your future decision. It’s coming...

Remember that PowerPoint presentation with all the negative words like tired, burned out, and then the next slide had positive like refreshed, energized, etc and the point was we’d go from the negative to positive?

I was thinking at the time this $hits not that bad... fast fwd mid ‘19 and we have moved mostly to the negative. Why? We have to use

a system that was designed 15 yrs ago for cell orders and make it work for video. Guess what? It fails... a lot. And we used to actually test $hit in the sandbox now it’s just let’s have sales come up with something and put it in production and cross or fingers.

Seriously how has AT&T survived 100 plus years? It’s like a dinosaur with an eating disorder at an all you eat buffet. Sometimes

You hold it down. Sometimes you don’t.

Oh and the collaboration has already been discussed and I have not much to add there other than, hey hArd a$$es imagine that you stepped back in time to 2013 and you live in on the most expensive areas in the country where a 4 bedroom place with decent schools costs well over a million and you have 2 or 3 kids but you don’t have the salary for that so you talk to your boss and say I can’t afford to raise my family here so I can either move and get another job or I can move and telecommute 3 or 4 days and come in 1 or 2 days and as needed. Your boss says ok and you move to Yorba Linda or Rancho Cucamonga where it’s hot as hell but at least you bought a house for a half a mill and you can afford it. Fast forward 5 years and now you find out that agreement is no more even though we are a telecommunications company and 80% of the peps you talk to are somewhere else

I was going to say the same thing. Why do we CONSTANTLY have JVB people asking if there is going to be layoffs? What's wrong with that org?

I get the feeling from the amount of JVB posts that many people in her org. want to leave.

Tenured team forced to commute to "offices" just to sit on conference calls all day. I get it

I've heard it will just be location based and not massive. So plan on continuing to commute.
