I'm not on the ATO side so I'm just curious about others' take on the NewsNow email we got last week. It says the new strategy is "public cloud first." It projects that by 2024, all computing resources that are not literally network elements will be in the public cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.) It specifically mentions no longer paying for rack space, power, maintenance, etc. (at least not directly).
If this leading to mass selloff of data centers? Are there employees at risk? Was this already known and I'm just reading about it later?
