Randy tries to present T as a technology company but it is all hot air and empty promises, file it in the same category as the customer comes first.

"You have to wonder why a "technology" company like AT&T can't build a working cloud while others can."

Says it all.

Following up on my post @ZnMEPLO-tee, You should be asking why AT&T can't build a functioning cloud while others can AND they can sell it to AT&T cheaper than AT&T can build it.

Something's very wrong with this picture.

IBM & Azure probably, AWS not likely. AIC is going to be strictly for NVF.

Non customer data. Because we spent $1B on the AT&T cloud (AIC) and it barely works. And that's being generous.

You have to wonder why a "technology" company like AT&T can't build a working cloud while others can.

Microsoft Azure is going to be getting a lot of our coin as well.

AT&T is failing miserably at providing software defined network to business customers. The offerings don't have many enterprise customers and the company is stopped investment (after $100 or so million spent).... Rumor amongst the pro's doing the technical design and implementation is will move to AWS (Amazon cloud) in a few years rather than trying to host cloud services ourselves.

They didn't say customer anywhere in that. It was non-network, not non-company. They said IT and applications not related to the network. Customer data is related to the network.
