Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

is osprey being given to new customers?

Someone I know in Wisconsin had internet + U-verse TV on the "offseason" plan and when went to reactivate called and was given a substantial price increase. Called and was told they could reduce bill with a internet + direct tv package. Made it clear on phone that did NOT want satellite dish. Rep said, no we can send someone and all they have to do is swap boxes. Cut to a few days later, rep shows up looking to where to install a dish.

Besides something being told wrong, only thing I can think of is that rep was trying to sell over the top direct tv with osprey box OR trying to sell direct TV now.

Do we now offer direct tv packages with an osprey box?

Other thing I thought of is maybe rep was trying to sell direct tv now but don't see any "bundles" with it in it. And do we even sell direct to customers a roku/apple tv type box and try to sell them a direct tv now + internet package?

As I said, rep specifically said "we just have to switch out a box".

Probably a rep that totally confused the customer, and offered regular Directv. The Osprey box is still in testing, by select Directv Now customers. Problem when Americans are not selling American products, and they beat into these reps to just follow the script and not used common sense.

I wouldn’t put it past a sales rep to lie. I’m sure there’s a satellite dish involved.
