Interest in Leaving call and email

Were any of you on a call last Tuesday announcibg the "Interest in Leaving" Survey? And if you were, did you receive the survey email? This would be my third call/email. How worried should I be? Should I survey Y or N?

Ask yourself one question: What you think is going to happen if you say YES or if you say NO?

If you say YES, you'll be buying yourself some time until they boot you out. Note that if your position has been in jeopardy before, it is very likely it will disappear soon. Another thing you need to consider is your Mental Health. What do you think is going to happen with the workload of the people they let go? Will you be able to handle extra work for you at this time?

Will you be able to cope with additional stress at this time? If you respond YES to these questions, then stay ...and good luck to you. Or stay and start networking NOW to move to a less vulnerable BU.

Otherwise, move on. Life is to short! Don't risk getting burned out. You will need your mental energy to work for this or any other job.

Don't risk having a heart attack either. Stress is a k--ler. Google it!

And ultimately, consult with the people who LOVE you. They're the only ones who really care for you.

Good luck!

A voluntary severance pays less than involuntary....

Many in procurement were recently polled and asked if they'd rather go to management or a lateral position.

If you should take it is a personal decision. I think it would negatively impact your unemployment benefits, someone chime in on that. For me personally, I hope I get one as I’ll likely take it. I’ll be leaving soon anyways. Getting the cash would be a bonus.

If you are happy in your job, don’t volunteer.
