Yes it is common knowledge that we purchase from 3rd parties..all carriers do, How else can we offer diversity and a host of other reasons.
However Vzn & AT& T are the prevalent national backhaul fiber providers for TMobile and Sprint, and at 'wholesale' rates which gets even cheaper as tmobile holds vzn by the bleep for credits based on their service contract.

@ZkgdSP9-1krj -- rubbish. All the companies lease pipes from each other. Verizon is building themselves to be the backhaul/pipe/bandwidth provider to anyone that wants to lease it. Problem is that others are doing the same as well. If T-Mobile can proved equal to or better service than Verizon or ATT to T-Mobile customers via leased pipes then T-Mobile wins.
The T-Mobile / Sprint merger will either drive T-Moble down to the level of Sprint or, Sprint will be absorbed by T-Mobile. My guess is the T-Mobile will come out on top.
And yet Tmobile & Sprints network is really provided by Verizon....what a tangled web we weave.
The DOJ should look into breaking up Amazon, not the merger between Sprint and T Mobile
Let's be real, there are 4 major carriers yes, but about 8-10 MVNO options along with a prepaid brand for each of the major 3 carriers that would be remaining.
