No one, except maybe the three tellers we have, does anything of real value and certainly no sales. It’s like this across my region in sf bay and apparently across many regions. How long can this go on before mass store closures and lay-offs begin???

They are closing 850 branches will bulk of them later in 2019 and 2020. Your branch manager will know if your store made the closure list.
They just closed the branch in my SF neighborhood, but there is another three blocks away. If there is not another branch close by and you have some foot traffic you might be okay. But they are definitely consolidating.
The branches will be the last to go. Sure there would be a consolidation here and there, but just look at the main threads on this board. There is barely anything about branches on here. The 26,000 headcount will mainly be the 6 figure behind the scene jobs that are doing even less work than you are.
