ATO management is to be eliminated in June. All positions are on the chopping block for cost savings.
To the individual who wants to lay off all the technicians.
Have you ever worked with the outside technicians? Have you seen how many roadblocks get setup in front of them? And watched as no one is willing to do anything to assist them, giving them the answer of "not my Department!" Have you ever looked at the work quality done by the outside contractors compared to what is completed in house? Hint, the contractors work quality is abysmal!! And the customers are furious afterwards. Look at some of our first level managers who have been beat down so much trying to make the numbers games that they don't have the time, or maybe the will or inclination to help the people assigned to them. Some just don't care anymore due to how they are treated, and are just riding it out. My manager is useless, but looks good on reports because of our work. We get more done when they are gone because we can then deal with other managers in other locations who will actually do things to help.
I have been an outside tech for over 25 years, received multiple awards for customer service and for process development, and process improvements. A blanket statement like yours is absolutely id--tic. If anyone is refusing to do work, I haven't seen it. But is morale in the tank? You bet, when we are viewed as expendable minions, not respected for what we do. This company was built on the backs of the outside forces, without the technicians, there is NO product to sell, NO network to run, and NO customers to pay for services.
Do you even realize that the company is still refusing to even attempt to appear to bargain in good faith on the labor agreements that have been expired for 13 1/2 months. How would you like your healthcare expenditures to increase at a faster rate than your pay, in fact surpassing the pittance of the pay increase in actual dollar amounts? Over the last two contracts my actual out of pocket expenses for heathcare has been more than 3 times my pay increases. So in essence I take home less than I did 10 years ago. In the case of a layoff, is being offered a part time commission based sales clerk position in a different state a worthwhile safety net for you? Not for me!!
Construction and repair techs to be replaced by contractors by the end of year. Techs refuse to do work and must be replaced.
May 22nd for some and still waiting to hear when will be notified if we are in actuality surplused...We heard it is by VP announcement...I am under Feinstein and we received notice My 22nd (ATO)
No insight but logic would say Mid-June to Mid-July. They need to be done by End September to allow for the option of another surplus in Q4. So, back up 60 days for the two months usually given and another few weeks for notifications, decisions, and phone calls and that places you in the Mid-July time frame.
Post ID: @Zioul1H-1com Got a question. Remember in a previous life the consternation our Division guy would have when Sales sold something for say a 10,000 commission but it would cost 50,000 to build and provision. Still happening? Lot of discussion going on when I left that organization.
Heard from our AVP today (Under Summers) that there will be no MVO in 2019 for Tech Dev. He also confirmed other organizations are getting MVO's presented.

I’m am so damn sick of reading about how bad the managers are! There losers, id--ts,d bags whatever. I’m a technician with this company from S/E southeast, Been here for almost 19 years and about 10 different 1st levels, handful of 2nd levels and not one have ever treated me bad. This is a fair company to work for with excellent management if your willing to work be level headed and take ownership for your actions! The managers you guys are bashing are the ones on the ground standing with you and have nothing to do with these layoffs. So back the f up.
Thanks for clarifying you are asking about management as union layoffs follow different timelines per there contract. Either way good luck to all.
