After leaving T I’ve came across a lot of century link jobs in the Tech field. Has anybody worked for them or is currently working for them? Please no negative comments, just want some valuable information. Thank you.

Monday thru Friday, is why I jumped!
The obstruction to retiring landline is reception issues. However most if not all have cellular service. If the reception issue is ever resolved those customers are not going to pay for both. If you start to see any new towers placed it is time to worry.
While I have no personal knowledge of CenturyLink, they did buy and now own Level 3. So, they have modern stuff. So, if the technician's job is to install 21st century technologies, things could be looking up.
On the other hand, if the job is deploying 20th century stuff, like landline telephone, I wouldn't take this as a long term prospect. That said, in my neck of the woods, CenturyLink is in the more rural areas of the woods, where there will be more obstruction to retiring landline.
So landline jobs might last a bit longer? Who the heck knows?
If the OP needs a paycheck and this is his best offer, go for it. However landline voice services are no longer a place with long time job security. Consider it a holding pattern position until something else comes along.

I know a former AT&T I&R tech that left AT&T voluntarily for Century Link. He says it pays a little less, but the work environment is more sane. Micro management is not part of his world anymore, he's left alone to do his job. He's been gone from AT&T for a few years though and I don't speak to him that often. Hopefully Century Link hasn't been infected the latest management style de jour yet.
avoid like a plague, they have tons of contractors using their own vehicles. tools, low wages, and thr dumping ground of copper.
Many execs 4 & 5 have left to go work for Century Link but they have had layoffs also..
Lots of remaining challenges from the LEVEL 3 merger. But if you need a paycheck, give it a go.
From what i hear both Centuylink and Frontier are much better to work for from a technician standpoint. No micromanaging BS, they just let you do your job.
If we are being told the truth about First Net then some of these rural companies are going to start seeing more wireless substitution.
Unfortunately I think all the telecommunications companies are pretty much alike. The technology driving the force reductions applies across the board.
