Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

In D3 we are confused and struggling.

Since the latest surplus and tentative agreement with Legacy T/D4 we have no clue what to believe or trust in District 3. Does D4 agree with their contract? Are the wire techs okay with what they will be receiving? We in D3 would like to know, since our bargaining has begun and we are sincerely wondering if we have anything to fight for...

Prem does not outnumber core. Period.

Not a single soul cares for it except the people half way out.

They will take anything extra.

This should be voted down easily though. Premtechs still outnumber core and I would say 50% of core arent happy.

Onky a fool would take that. It benefits no one except the company.

Union is a business, union make money from people being employed paycheck not surplussed people. AT&T will say we keep most of them, but you'll have to accept a ridiculous pay increase for techs doing more and more for less, even cleaning customers cars on the exit strategy when leaving, or we fire most of them and then who will pay the union's president lifestyle expenses? you can hate, but you know i am right

Hard to go in with both gun$ a blazing when they don't need half the folks out there. What do yo do, fight to keep everybody with a ¢rappier contract or trim the fat and get a better contract for those who remain? Kind of a lose lose.

Wire techs are not happy with this. Core sounds like they will bend to cancellation of surplus
