Where does the dance of the musical chairs end ? Is it like dominoes where one who is bumped can then also bump? Where does it end in D3 ?

Don’t even try to ask staffing for any favors, because they are not there for your benefit. They will screw you any chance they get.
Be sure to read and understand your rights under article 7. Intentional or not, the union folks are not all up on the in's and out's of all of these articles, and they can give out incorrect information at times. I will repeat, read and understand article 7, it is and will be in YOUR best interest. Do not trust someone else with your future.

Yes, it is just like dominoes. I was bumped, so I bumped another guy, who then bumped a tech below him. If they can't find one for you in the 35 mile radius, they will offer you a job in the same state. A friend of mine in Greenville, SC bumped a tech in Charleston. Good luck

Not in craft. In craft (except maybe wire techs) , it’s strictly by seniority so what would “back stabbing” accomplish?

Thank you for the answer 1zas. Does the 35 mile rule then apply only to those surplussed and not to those bumped ?
If you are surplused you can bump any junior tech in your family of skills provided they are the same pay scale or below and no other senior tech has taken that spot; if so you get the next choice on your master ranking sheet.
If you are bumped you will have to go to the lowest seniority tech in the state. This saves HR time, so they can move on to the next guy.
This is how I have seen it work in the past 10 years and I have been through 6 surpluses in the D3 region. Hope this helps and Godspeed
