It seems like 911 should be a priority, but these major outages keep happening.

Can someone help me out here? There was a 911 outage? What exactly does that mean? Were folks calling 911 and not getting through? I think I’m misunderstanding the original post?
So it was a wireless issue and not on the wired/psap side..gotcha

Most if not all 911 problems are from outside forces. All the intelligence they have had to build into 911, sometimes those vendors, have issues. AT&T takes the media hit. Oh and it's the PSAP's that dictate which provider to use for their services.
I have not had any psap reports. Where have these outages been?
Surplussing experienced workers may not be the best idea.
