Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Leadership doesnt want to talk about Collaboration anymore

Not sure if you noticed, but leadership doesnt want to talk about this whole collaboration bs anymore. You'll never get a straight answer other than a generic reply as " we need to be more agile and speed up" per Marachel in ATO.

I say lets keep talking about it!!! What do you think???

Collaboration is a smokescreen to make your life so miserable you'll quit.

I want to do the work I want, when I want, where I want. Ok, go find a job somewhere else then. You got what you want.

No law technically has been broken. T has a lot of very expensive good lawyers to consult with. Theyre playing dirty because they can get away with it. Only thing thats asinine here is the lack of trust and respect. Nothing illegal about being not trusted and disrespected.

"Lots of lawsuits because they targeted outlying managers for surplus but didn’t officially terminate approved work from home"

What would be illegal about this? Work location isn't a protected class.

Also, I don't think it would be illegal for att to end approved work from home arrangements. I would think it is noted in the agreement that it can be ended at anytime.

I could be wrong though. Is there some law that has been broken here?

" we need to be more agile and speed up" per Marachel in ATO.

Boy if Mariachi said that, she must have looked at one of the Agile videos and now is an expert at something. She good with buzz words and whatever else works to make her sound managerial so she can keep her job for another year. This lady couldn't lead a Brownie Troop to water.

It's a human waste when leadership just goes through the motions on things that work well elsewhere. Slogans and platitudes don't cut it folks.

@wzz - there are lawsuits already? We in ATO are kept under the dark clouds of no info.

The entire ATO management organization is a joke. They’re so far removed from reality it’s pathetic. They’re like sheep all drinking from the same infected water.

They aren’t taking because of the law suits.

No logic to cz. Many jobs you have peers and contacts in other states and nothing to do with anybody in your physical office. What a joke.

Lots of lawsuits because they targeted outlying managers for surplus but didn’t officially terminate approved work from home. So guess what? EVERYONE now reports to a collaboration zone. The axe is coming. Especially if you are the only one in an organization in ATO where you are the only one on your team there. Hurry up! Pick me!!!
