Loosing retro back pay for the first year cost you $2,371 in straight pay per tech. Compounding your loss through the rest of your raises. You should ask your local to reduce your expected dues payment by the same amount.

Prem techs DO NOT out number core, Remember core consists of construction, engineering, repair, deg, specials, mechanics (the few that are left) Mlac, Rcmac, etc...

Whole lotta beating dead horses here, none of this is going to work out for anybody who isn't reasonably close to retirement. The dog and pony show is wrapping itself up. Wish in one hand and defecate in the other, and see which hand fills up.

@ietr

Your wrong.

Most of us want a chance to do our time. We don’t have opportunities to go anywhere in this company.

It has nothing to do with us thinking we are better than you and it has everything to do with the fact that we want to know that we can work I way to better jobs and not have to constantly worry about job security. That’s what this fight was supposed to be about.

Once again this TA is leaving prem techs with no future. Fighting for job security stopped at core and you know it.

Prem techs are pretty much done. One day soon core won’t have that bargaining chip and no one left under them to sell out.

No offense intended.

But... you PTs are not top craft. As the Comm techs weren’t in the 90’s.

As I wasn’t as a Service Tech in the 80’s. Top craft was Systems Techs.

You are generally low in Seniority and think you’re all that.

I did as well.

But I wasn’t.

Nor are you.

Jealousy don’t pay the bills... nor does complaining here.

Do your time.

@UHF there is no way you guys were working for a whole lot less back in the '70s than PTs today. Adjusted for inflation, average worker's wages were much much higher back then. And you actually had a strong union that actually fought for its workers.

I'm sure this company's managers worked you guys very hard and long, unfortunately some things never change.

@mgx....tons of forced OT in the 70s, 80s, & 90s. Saturdays/Sundays. Used to only working half a day meant 12 hours. Plant manager stood at the gate and sent u back out till everything was caught.(Believe it or nor back then the company actually gave a d@mn about Pots. Those folks were doing it for a lot less money than you are today.

I'm not saying u don't have a gripe with the contract. I'm saying don't act like u are the 1st person to be in your shoes. And if you want to know the truth, the union should have never agreed to selling out work to a lower waged job title. No PT/WT would want the same done to them.

Do when’s the opt out period again? Within 2 weeks of ratification?

Cwa is going to have a prem tech mutiny on their hands. We are not going to make it to the next one anyways. No Jobs! No prem techs!

@thm How many 10+ hour shifts do you work? Or are you heading back to the garage at 3:30 every day? How often do you work a 6 day work week? How many Sunday shifts have you worked in your career?

PT's have been working under these conditions for over a decade now. We've paid our dues and it's time we were treated the same as the rest of the field technicians at this company.

Retro to February 2019 ? So we get 4 year that starts then I think not, why not state the obvious it’s a 3 year and the retro is a signing bonus. Cannot be a 10. 5 % increase when we aren’t receiving the 3% retro to expiration of past contract

I’m going to take the heat. Don’t care.

You PTs are generally low seniority. Yes 10-15 yrs is.

You knew the conditions when you hired on.

You haven’t quit.

I was top craft. I worked every Saturday for 18 years. And holidays.

Late shift for 3 years after before I got my choice of tour.

Is it right what T is doing to your title? No.

But we make much more than CATV techs or TDS techs.

T doesn’t care about any employee.

The union protects by seniority.

You at 6 yrs make as much as a same title tech with 40 yrs.

Seniority.

Because at the end of the day, that’s all we have.

Keep in mind that yearly inflation averages 2 percent a year so really , these rare not pay raises as they are basically just keeping pace with inflation. On top of that, you’ll be paying more and more for health insurance. So... it really is just the same sh-- contract they agreed to in 2015. Prem techs are still screwed.

Yes it’s a 4 year deal. Don’t know about separation packages yet because they have not yet given the local presidents the details. The presidents have to get briefed first and then D4 members will be given the details by their locals. Should be sometime this week or next week at latest

Were the separation packages enhanced?? ATT has stated more lay offs are coming.......so we're the separation packages enhanced???????

So is this a 4 year agreement starting 2/5/19? If not, it should be 4 yrs from ratification date or retroactive pay back to what is the contract start date.

There’s that retroactive pay again. CWA leadership is so short sighted and weak. They should reject the retroactive pay in favor of making the new contract date more aligned with D3 so that 4 years from now they expire closer to same time.
