Yesterday, I resigned from Wells Fargo. I spent months looking for the "right" job, interviewed, and accepted one with a terrific company.
The pay is excellent, the people are talented and upbeat, and the well-known company gets positive reviews across the board -- internally and externally. Benefits (incl. excellent PTO out of the gate) are also much better at new company.
Many factors go into a decision to leave, but I couldn't let the following hold me back anymore:

my tenure with WF
-
my PTO with WF
-
thinking that a possible severance package was worth the wait
-
my ability to work from home almost 100% of the time
-
fear of change, since learning WF's matrixed organization took so long to navigate and master
I could go on and on, but want you to know there IS life outside of WF.
I am relieved and optimistic about my career for the first time in a long time. I am liberated!
Yes, the new company will have its own challenges -- nothing is perfect. But I have the energy and desire to embrace the new journey and start anew, now that I'm not hitched to a severely damaged wagon/ stagecoach.
The new company has "legs"... sadly, WF does not. My future is already so much brighter. I want everyone who feels like I did to have hope.
