Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

July 17 meeting

We're being told that "An important communication about Strategy 2022" will be made on Wednesday July 17th, at 11:00am EST via town hall event from the Leadership Team which will be live streamed to team members at all locations.

Word we're getting is that this meeting is not one to be missed, and it will include more info on staffing matters. Our local management seems uncomfortable talking about it.

Speculation: they won't actually lay people off DURING this meeting, but they will announce that they're going to START letting people go, likely sooner rather than later so as to avoid expenses related to year-end PTO, RSR's, Q1 bonuses, 401k matches, etc.

Bumped from @ZJATQnV-qmy for info.

It seems Frederick, MD has a hiring freeze. I suppose we might be on the chopping block for closure. Time will tell.

Based on the Ask Saul Anything sessions, I would tend to agree that he at least projects an understanding and empathetic attitude when it comes to the upcoming changes (details still unknown). I would tend to agree with @ZKwLw4x-grw. However, talk is cheap, and we'll see how this plays out, beginning in July. Additionally the financials may change to the point where they simply can't live up to the refreshingly humane ideal towards Strategy 2022 currently being projected. (eg relocations during summer months to accommodate families, etc).

Having talked to Saul, he’s a condescending DB and not interested in telling anyone on this pathetic forum anything of value.

Having talked to Saul, He seems keen on co-location as well as a reduction in contracting staff. He talked about an increase in IT FTE's for the interim too as we transition to the new model.

One of these meetings should be done in every business. Unfortunately it isn't and probably won’t but it would be good so that all the speculations, rumors and contention would tone down a bit.
