Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ATT is going to be the first telecom beheameth to fall.

Randy is betting everything on streaming and wireless. Problem is they have to roll out this new streaming box to customers on a network that they have been failing to maintain for the last 30 years. The fiber build out was honestly a joke. That’s why they are dumping these airties all over the market. We will have so many repair calls for WiFi issues. There has been big talk of a 5g network but it will most certainly not perform as well as it’s made to see. Bankrupt.... booom.

Here is my prediction. Amazon is buying up every business they can. Amazon will offer a ton of money for the fiber build out and wireless network and invest a ton into fiber. Can you imagine amazon phone service and amazon internet service offered with your prime membership upgrade you would dominate.

It’s gonna happen. I’m from the future

AT&T stock up 17% this year so far. Billions in debt paid down. Profits are as strong as ever. Mobility is growing faster than it has in 6 years and that is 50% of AT&T’s revenue.

The company may be doing all this on the backs of laying off workers and causing grief and some of the strategies may not work out like they want but AT&T is no where close to failing or going bankrupt.

If they are betting on streaming they are in big trouble! DIRECTV Now is has been out for 2.5 years and is rated 17th our of 18 streaming providers. They also have been churning customers faster than they can add new ones.

I use it at home and it is full of bugs and there is obviously no priority to fix it. It is a total joke and will switch soon.

The bootlickers know T's crummy slow DSL network isn't going to cut it for their streaming plans especially if they expect to compete with 4k and future formats and needs heck even their fiber is taxed because of how it was engineered on the cheap and how its being shared. They know this but wont spend another dime to actually compete because they are betting the farm on 5G. No one wants to tell Randall how stupid and obsolete his ideas are so instead they are hard at work on smoke and mirrors to appease their boss and keep their jobs for at least a few more years. Right now they are going around testing WiFi in customers homes with their silly little wifi map app because they want numbers and statistics to put in a spreadsheet to show upper management how great T's DSL WiFi runs in peoples homes and therefore their little magic android box is gonna run amazing and they can start bombarding these accounts with offers for self install kits. Nice try except no one actually runs that app as intended and all the results are being spoofed right next to the device so the person can GTFO of their customers homes and get their first levels of their backs. The geniuses at T really believe sticking a bunch of airties in someones home is a solution to ignoring their plant, barely running any competent residential fiber and instead blowing billions on vanity dreams.

T would be considered too big to fail and taxpayer money would be used to bail them out.

Many of the taxpayers are the customers they are trying to cheat.

A great system for Randy and his cronies.

Hard to go Bankrupt when they're profiting Billions every quarter.

That and together with pissing off employees. For every 1 employee they p-ss-d off, imagine having at least 10 friends and family members that will not subscribe to anything T is offering times by how many employees they laid off and p-ss-d off.

Sounds very far-fetched , but Amazon has the $$$ to do anything they want to.

Sh--ty part is Randall gets a huge payout for all his stock and moves on to a different giant that falls too. Another sweet deal for him.

Creates a ton of us jobs so that was great.
