Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Tell me I’m doing the right thing

I have a job offer for a new job with a different company. The interview with them was so different than what I’m used to at T. They genuinely showed interest in me and my skills and as much as I was selling myself they were selling themselves as a destination. They offered me the job 2 days after my interview for a significant salary increase. I will have to relocate but it’s arguably to a better city to live in. I would be dumb not to take it right?

Well thank you for the encouraging words. I’m just sick of the constant surplus fear and the lack of direction from upper management. My family is on board with the idea of moving.

I found a new job in less than a month with comparable salary and better benefits.

I have many friends who are getting jobs pretty easily with the recent surge of the economy. Although things look bleak here at T, don’t be fooled. The job market is doing amazing despite T ‘s rapid spiral downhill.

Completely depends on your personal situation; any kids or spouse, etc. How many years do you have with T? Sounds like you're ready to go though. Follow your gut.
