To help complicate the force reduction already in process of 120 techs....Orland Park construction garage is being shut down. Romeoville is up for sale!! It’s getting real dicey in IBEW 21!!!

@ZBKcEL6-1otr If these union suits spent as much time working for the members as they do ignoring them.... We might not be paying for healthcare.
There’s been a surplus notification? Hah, IBEW 21 still won’t admit to their members that a surplus has been declared. They are either in denial or delusional or lying to the membership. Still waiting for the update from the union since their Friday blurb. Way to be transparent and keep your members informed IBEW 21. You guys s---!
great when union does not follow article 30 for one garage. The morris and romeoville garage are closing also. Will they also let them bump a whole garage that is closest. Everyone who is affected by this should hire an attorney as a post before this said and was conveniently removed.
There is no contract to see. Membership was never given access to the current contract. The contract says whatever the union says it says. Pretty nice, huh?
Sounds like some newbies need to visit the seniority store.
You use your seniority to your advantage I’d bet.
Us senior techs do the same.
Is the union not following protocol or in breach of contract essentially by bumping the Bridgeview crew with the Orland crew? Could legal intervention be considered? You’re paying union dues, protocol is clearly not being followed by the union by bumping the Bridgeview crew...perhaps an attorney should be consulted?
As long as it benefits you guess its ok.
Guess you ain’t got any seniority!! Pack your bags.
Union is screwing bridgeview garage with old washed up orland guys. Backdoor deal after surplus announcement they are bumping bottom 20 out. Everyone else out of other garages that are over head count has to bump by list. Don’t want to upset the senior citizens at orland
It’s Orland Park, Illinois. Not Orlando, Florida. Knuckleheads
For about 10 years now T has been trying to get out of all leased buildings and selling some prime locations. Downsizing may add to that process as well.
I worked in 2 constructionsites in orlando, in both places 60% of the techs were in disability or light duty, manager had to loan techs from other sites, to complete jobs, that may be thee reason they are shutting down
It’s called downsizing.
Seems a lot of garages up for sale. Are they being leased back ?
