Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Tired of it all

I'm so tired of it all - all the uncertainties every single week, all the stress that comes with it, all the nepotism and other office politics that are omnipresent at AT&T... Instead of getting better, things just keep getting worse...

Just quitting and finding a job in a fast food joint is starting to seem as a better alternative to this!

Stay away from this website and you'll probably feel a little bit better...

Don’t let them get to you , and I know that’s easy to say . I’m in the same boat I’m near the 75 and will show up until they say not to . Keep your ears open for possibilities after your exit . That will give you hope for a better life . It’s a crazy environment that we work in don’t be drawn in . Show up , keep

A low profile , and stay out of the drama .

I’m not sure if I will make my 75 but I’m sure as hell not going to quit at this point . I won’t give them the satisfaction.

Every employee should have an exit strategy. You never know what will happen when. I executed mine a couple years ago this week.

Dont let them win, i know you just want to be motivated, but T pays a lot than fastfood with benefits. Collect your paycheck, do the bare minimum, chit chat with your collaboration zone coworkers and do 3-4hr job a day. The key is to show up, do a fake smile and leave for the day.

Don't let AT&T be in control of you, you need to be in charge of yourself. If you don't have a plan (or only planned by AT&T), then you have planned to fail, so get a plan, and execute it by putting it into place immediately. Consult with real financial professionals and see what your options are upon retirement/early retirement, and make whatever adjustments are going to be best for you and your family (forget about investing into penny stocks and c-ap alike). As others have suggested, whether a Union or Manager worker, don't go above and beyond, you will not be compensated for it, you'll only harm your health, it's quite simply not worth it and you get nothing in the end, not even a character building exercise. Please realize, that when you go, no one will miss you, you’ll be quickly forgotten, and replaced the next day (maybe not at all), so stop trying to k--l yourself for all that. You need to work on building yourself into what you want on your own time, on your own dime, free and clear of a company that is run primarily by Millennial Hipsters loaded with Millennial hyper aggression, along with a bunch of clueless bad decision making C-Suite execs.

If I said pretty please, whatever you do, don’t buy penny stocks....would you listen? Legitimate company it may well be, and in 20 years it may even begin to make a profit but here is what the promoter(s) of a penny stock, like kblb don’t tell you. They are mostly day traders, they single out and buy a few fringe stock, like this Silkworm stock, promote the hell out of it and wait for it to take off, then sell hard and fast. They make their profit, get out and the stock collapses.

KBLB was a $.06 stock for many years, then mysteriously started climbing in April. Come May 14, it was $0.48 and three days later $0.24......it’s now $0.31 and for good reason....don’t be a fool, the S&P 500, NASDAQ 100 or DJIA do not recognize this stock, and for god reason.

Sorry to take this off more important topics but this had to be said, someone’s hard earned money was at stake.

Wait until all of these contracts get ratified and see how “cushy” it is in construction. Big changes are coming, especially the OPT title.

I personally wouldn’t buy any penny stock but the company does look legit. If they can really make this fiber cost effectively then wow. The applications would be endless. I’ve added it to my watch list to see where it goes. What’s this have to do with At&t though.

You chose to rent your life to att one hour at a time. You’re exchanging your time ,effort and skills for money. That’s all they owe you. Union represented employees seldom have inspiring leaders. Protection of untouchable terrible employees with bad attitudes eliminate that in a manager.

I do what is required to do my job and that's all. I've learned the hard way to NEVER ever go above and beyond for this company. I'm only here to collect a paycheck and then go on with my life.

With the way this company treats its workforce and shows no loyalty or appreciation whatsoever, you would be a fool to do more than the absolute minimum.

Great leaders inspire their workers to give their best. AT&T, on the other hand, totally destroys the morale of their workers. The absolute worst leadership I've ever seen in a business.

I get it op . I got tired of moving from .org to org just face the same c-ap. Leaving was awesome. You don’t their blood money go find something you are good at and enjoy doing and you will end making a lot more money than you would at att.

I think of it this way. Toxic work environment along with plenty of sub standard coworkers and tons of aggravation are conditions of employment. You weigh those against the pay and benefits and decide if it’s worth it to you. Just like your commute or working in cold weather are things to consider. So are these issues you raise. Anytime you attach a managers compensation to the group he manages performance you will get this animosity growth among coworkers. After all his/her job is results. Not training or happy place for you to work. The decision is yours

Here’s a bit of advice. Don’t wait for at&t to give you a pension. You need to be active in your own portfolio buying the right stocks. Want to leave At&t ? Then I suggest taking a chance on this cheap penny stock: kblb

It’s currently trading for 30 cents. It’s not like most penny stocks which are usually scams. This one is real with a real product coming: it will be making spider silk thread with silkworms by the end of the year. If you wait till it’s a household name, it’ll be too late. The army will be using it as well as big brands like Nike. They already announced a partnership with polartec. Mark my words, kblb will make you a rag to riches story. I plan on retiring early with this one stock alone. Don’t take my word for it. Do your own research. Check out their website at www.kraiglabs.com. Then go to ihub and see what folks are saying about kblb. Your welcome for being told about this little known gem. Best thing we can all do for ourselves and family is become financially independent of At&t.

Stop caring.... they don’t.

Smile, wave, be polite, fly low and try to run them out of $$$.

Despite your best efforts, you are in the expense column and they want you gone.

Emotionally divorce yourself from work.

Couldn’t agree more with @izj but just remember two important things....what your paycheck will look like and to ask “do you want medium or large fries with your meal?”

Make your plan and set your exit strategy. Do not give them the control over your life. Don't let them live rent free in your head.

Make a plan and execute it.
