I wish they would just pull off the damn bandaid already. Everyone is so demoralized and miserable they should just cut the people who are going to be cut and let the others do their jobs without the sword of Damocles hanging over their heads
This is a short and maybe a general post by @Z81EujK-1ydi , but it paints an excellent picture of how the employees feel right now.
Cant afford to payout/severance on such a large scale. Expecting/hoping the discomfort (squeeze on employees, from work pressure, reduced benefits, etc.) will result in desired attrition.
Painful to admit, but standard process in the current environment.
Unfortunately, there are many more layoff waves to come. Not enough staff are quitting (natural attrition). We'd expected more of that. Miscalculation (among many we've made).
Shutdown this criminal enterprise and give employees severance and unemployment.
