My director asked why don’t you go to the Town Halls. My answer is I have so much work to do and that hour is an hour where my Jabber is so what calm and I can get things done. I have seen the dog and pony show multiple times. The same BS on another day. Nothing changes except the people giving the rah rah speech. It is a complete waste of time.

I’ve seen Town Halls that were at the beginning of the week, and by the end of that same week? RIFs.
@1txb, if you left it behind you wouldn't be hear.
I always thought I was at an am-way meeting when attending the rah-rah. So glad I took the VSP and left this BS company behind.

Rah-rah meetings were always mandatory for my group so our director could get her gold star for perfect attendance.
To many townhalls, all hands, this and that reviews. Its boring and Inhave better things to do. Who cares!? Enough already. Once a quarter (if needed) and call it day already.
Every year it was always some stupid buzzword from Shankar or others, no thanks.
Yep they dont like people who dont kiss up. You have to go and kiss up to them every once a while
If you did not attend the rah rah meetings and dog & pony shows, management and HR retaliated. Managers take offense, because you did not kiss up, and make them look good. My manager always took a roll call attendance before the meeting, and noted all demerits for your review, and labeled you not a team player, because they had no idea of your work load and deadlines.
