Any upcoming MVO for ATO?

There was mention of a MVO (Management Voluntary Offer) for the Finance groups. Does anyone know if ATO will have any MVO's this year? Given the working conditions, morale, and overall lack of vision there could be more takers on the MVO this year than the one last year. It could possibly spare some folks from the upcoming involuntary surplus efforts.

AT&T Business (Xavier W) announced affected groups about 2 weeks ago. Those in targeted groups could volunteer for the standard severance package. If there are not enough volunteers, involuntary will kick in. Had same notice last November so is on a 6 month cycle of cuts. Both times allowed for volunteers if you were in affected group.

From the Jeff McElfrish ATO 1Q Town Hall Q&A:

Question: Why wasn't there an MVO offer before the surplus (referring to the surplus that took place in January)

Answer: The goal of the Management Voluntary Offer in the summer of 2018 was to provide managers who were interested in departing from the company the opportunity to do so with a severance package. To ensure business needs were fully met, there were some employees who were not allowed to participate in the offer. The voluntary offer was limited in time and is no longer available.

In the foreseeable future we will not be offering a voluntary offer for managers to leave. We may offer interest in leaving as part of the surplus process but there will be stipulations based on needs of the business.

To provide some clarity on this topic, a management voluntary offer (MVO) is different from interest in leaving:

Management Voluntary Offer (MVO): an offer to provide management employees the opportunity to voluntarily resign from employment with eligibility for voluntary resignation benefits under the AT&T Inc. Severance Pay Plan.

Interest in Leaving: As workforce reduction decisions are carefully considered, Interest in Leaving can be one element of the formal surplus process to offer benefits under the AT&T Inc. Severance Pay Plan to employees in an affected workgroup who are willing and interested in leaving AT&T.
