Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Surplus

Any company that has a dedicated “surplus” Dept is f’ed up from the get go - just sayin.

Come work for us all you new grads - Join the T “family” and in 20 years after a few technology shifts - oh my your salary is kinda high - your position has been eliminated - no worries join one of the weekly “surplus” webinars but be sure to call early, the system can only handle 1,000 callers at a time

Wait till you get your post layoff conference call hosted by a Talent Acquisition Manager. That is a slap in the face too.

The statement T “family” is kind of odd since the current AT&T is made up on about 100 other companies they acquired. So, it's not like you hired on with the AT&T family 20 years ago, and it's still AT&T. It was probably a completely different company that hired you, and you're more like the bad in-law they were forced to take rather than a family member.

You are RIGHT!

An off shore manager will do your work for an annual salary of what you make in the US in 3 months. One of YOU equals four managers off shore.
