I worked there during the criminal years and saw it all. Wouldn’t cheat, was threatened, blew the whistle, was retaliated against, resigned. The usual.
But as I speak to people that I know that have continued to work they’re the sentiment ranges from “meh, it’s better but not great” to “ I f---ing love working here now”.
Are they mostly delusional given how long they’ve been with the bank (10 years plus) or is it truly a sh-- show?
I am typically one of the biggest critics of WF. And I tell that to people when they ask me. WF earned it. My years in the Branch were almost all terrible. But I can’t skip over that I was given 4 months off when I had a child. There are a few really fantastic benefits that come from working at Wells. I also tell people that as well. I will always be grateful for the time I was given with my family.
The pervasive attitude is ‘my group can shave corners because we are special’.. lots of really wonderful individuals with good intentions and white hats but their leaders set unreal expectations that can only be met by cheating. Look to board trying to placate shareholders.
Keep drinking the kool aid and you’ll see all roses! The fact is this place is under several consent orders for criminal activity. Not much progress has been made and regulators are getting impatient. Some changes announced but many more to come. Having WF in your resume is like saying i was in jail for bank fraud - no one will hire you
You wouldn't want to go back there is the PTSD. It's truly a garbage bank all over inside few places to go.

Don't be fooled -- it's a sh*t show. Those who love it either have a good manager (rare) or are drinking the Kool-Aid until the wheels fall off the stagecoach.
I am only staying for the paycheck and look for jobs elsewhere every day. WF wants people to leave so there's less to layoff.
