Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

PPTO/KEY EVENT DATES

In my club, every single manager you ask on this topic says a completely different answer. Some say PPTO does not excuse you from Key Event Dates, some say you need triple the PPTO hours to cover your entire shift on a Key Event Day (8 hours per point). If that's the case then they're stealing your hours that you worked for and aren't getting paid for them. They're going against what the CBL and the Policy on the WIRE. Need answers!

^ Apparently, you didn't pay any attention to the CBL. As long as you use PPTO, it also covers event dates! Stop spreading your little knowledge and confusing others!

Whoever replied by saying thats a lie a manager didnt tell you that is a lie. You must havent raised the issue if you havent heard the same thing. The managers of my store told me the same thing. Im still confused on what the real truth is. However so are the managers, they dont know no more than we do. Honestly the whole system is BS

PPTO covers any absence, late, or leave early that would result in points being given. Key dates only have one function, to add 1 point to an absence or not completing 50% of your shift. Key dates DO NOT add any extra points due to leave early or arrive late.

Absence on key date = 2 points (1 point for absence and 1 extra point for doing so on a key date)

Walmart is feeding the public the purple kool aid again sayin the robots will provide the employees more time to be helpful to their customers. BS! They are just cutting payroll and jobs! I wish they could be in our clubs on a Saturday and hear all the members complaining about self checkout! At least my job can’t be done by a “bot “yet!

Do any of them say check the CBL? Take pictures of it with your phone if you have to, but at least you'll have it as a reference.

PPTO is not approved by managers. So if you put it in you will get paid. And it will only cover some points earned through being tardy or calling in. It does not cover NC/NS or event dates. Just follow the policy on the wire.
