Leadership on 2.0...

"If you are not behind 2.0, why are you here?"

Heard during multiple kickoffs this year.

@6vpn, maybe he’s talking DOS360, which would have been around for Lyndon Johnson’s presidential use youngblood?

The only thing I know 2.0 to be is a hideous wallpaper on my PC. Really now, just what clown came up with that idea? Nothing motivates me into resistance and lethargy like a 1974 DOS screen. Verizon is trying way so hard to be so hip to the 'mills' that they have resorted to the inane.

I'm only 28 and even I know that DOS didn't arrive until 1981.

"2.0" is really all about ending the need for critical thought. Example: "We need employees to load an application on their personal phones because it is part of the new Verizon 2.0!"

"2.0" is really all about ending fAT, fBEL, fGENU, fGTE, fMCI, fNYN, fS, fXO and reorganizing as Consumer, Business and Network. It is a little overdue.

No one knows what 2.0 is not even the leaders. We have heard the announcements beginning well before September of 2018. Here we are nine months out and we still have no goals no pathway to achieving anything. What a huge farce. In the same league as purchasing AOL and Yahoo, Verizon, GO 90 and Verizon Connect. It is ridiculous as a corporation we can turn and spin in the pig pen with no movement. Shame on these leaderless executives.

2.0 is the new green deal for Verizon. Over hyped, too expensive and doomed to failure.

Verizon 2.0

2.0x the micromanagement

2.0x the work

2.0x the amount of layoffs

2.0x the amount of corporate koolaid

Beware of the paid Verizon PR groups. I can promise you that they have hired some real trolls to keep their name clean and discredit others.

I'm not. Took my VSP and got the fukk outta there. The telecom business as a whole is screwed. Verizon and AT&T will fall the hardest with their bloated headcounts, union burden and dividend burden. 5 years Verizon 3.0 will come with 50% fewer employees.

Prove me wrong...

no problem just as soon as you can explain what 2.0 is, without using vague generalities

A lot of tech is calling it BS because of the gap between promise and delivery .

We are on the cusp of a technological revolution that will fundamentally change how we live, work and play. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is blurring the lines between physical and digital. Everything that can be connected will be. Some call it the “Cyber Physical” era, building on such technologies as artificial intelligence, autonomous cars, robotics and biotechnology to prime a fresh wave of innovation … all of it enabled by the low latency, stupendous speeds, and continuous connectivity of next-generation wireless technology. And, while we can’t predict how or when all of these trends will achieve critical mass, our response must be integrated, comprehensive and involving all stakeholders.
