He hopes you all get laid off so he can convince himself that it was inevitable that he’d lose his job anyway. No happy and successful person would otherwise come to this board to take joy in folks getting laid off. He’s really quite sad and pathetic. Take pity on him. His life must be truly miserable and empty. Clearly he misses his job at at&t and would probably kill to get it back. If he really did quit , then it’s obvious he regrets that decision.

I left years ago when I realized that boot that's kicking you all in the arse now was headed my way. It doesn't take a genius to see what was coming. And it surely didn't take a college degree or WS32 to see what the CORE run CWA was up to during 2015/16 bargaining cycle. I still have acquaintances with CORE and WT techs now. This ain't personal in any way.

Yeah... AT&T may not be setting up 5G in the sticks "right away," but TMobile dropped a pretty nickel on 600mhz spectrum to take care of that. The lower the frequency, the farther it travels.

I didn’t just get out of high school with zero job experience thinking I should be making the same pay as veteran core techs! like some the prem techs think. You sound very bitter and by the way I get along with 99% of all the prem techs I work with!....I don’t see what your attitude problem is....I don’t think I’m superior to them or talk down to them. Classic example of a guy who clearly thinks he’s the smartest person in the room because he may have some experience with data networking but deep down he’s jealous and envious of those WS 32 salaries as he looks thru the want ads from Mom’s basement. The fact he’s trying to impress us by using “port forwarding” as an example just shows he’s not as smart as he wants everyone to believe. If he were as talented as he claims , why was he a wire tech and not a systems tech or a field engineer or any of the other countless jobs At&t offers for those skill sets. Got news for you Pal, us systems techs have been configuring data networks, routers and switches for 30 plus years and we are WS32. You’re not smart. Just bitter.

I am a wire tech and in no way would I ever find joy is seeing a core tech lose their job. Why are you so sour? You left and are so much better off then we who stayed are? Yeah... Former WT, I did quit... And I warned all my brothers what was coming, how CWA was scheming, and how a $25 an hour WT could land on his feet easier than a $38 an hour CORE tech would.
CWA carried on with their "standard" bargaining demands. No eye to the future or the perils that lay at the doorstep.
I don't participate in s---c-de missions for corporations or unions. Family & Country only.

The way this guy has a hard on for "core" getting their comeuppance tells me he was a prem/wire tech.
Earlier post that I'm sure can be attributed to him indicate that he was cut loose from the company some time ago, although his narrative states that he saw "The writing on the wall" (my inference, not his), and left of his own noble and learned volition.
Dude, move along, or go work for one of those companies that is going to upend the entire telecom landscape, just be sure to ask your shift manager if you can have the time off to knock that interview out of the park, we can't have cars backing up in the drive thru.
