Good News for Job Seekers Over 50

The job market is looking bright for older Americans who are looking for jobs.

If you think older workers are sitting around twiddling their thumbs, hesitant to contact employers in a tightening labor market, you'd be wrong. In February, the unemployment rate for those 55 and older was 3.2 percent — nearly a full point lower than the overall 4.1 percent rate for the entire U.S. population and drastically lower than the 14.4 percent rate for teens.

Indeed, the groups of workers 65 to 74 and 75 and older are predicted to grow faster than any other age segments through 2024, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

With more people eager to work well into their golden years, companies are taking action to lure mature job seekers with a variety of innovative programs.

This article is complete BS. WF only wants minimum wage employees where they can spend the absolutely minimum in benefits. Older workers cost more - health care, vacation, etc.

Only applicable to jobs outside of technology required limited skills... part time at low wages.

Probably just about every large US based corporation is like this, especially every other large bank.

All articles that come out like this one, are false, and you can be totally assured that Wells Fargo has hatched up so many scenarios to make themselves look good with the public, and they are soooooooooo great with treating people right; "SAID NO ONE EVER". Just like the PR regarding donations and charitable causes you see online. ALL JUST A BUNCH OF BS. Just a bunch of bandit's and thieves. The Bank will be ultimately be broken up and dissolved. What a bunch of "spinner's of the truth".
