“Drill bits? Screws? Cheap hand tools? C-appy drills? Wire? “

Glad to know you’re one of those knuckle draggers never allowed to touch anything more expensive. You’ve placed too much value in your limited skill set. Anyone can be taken off the street to be a prem tech. Sorry that’s how it is.

Huh!? You guys don’t want to do the inside work to begin with. You want zero customer contact, I know this. You just want to fix your little pair or light trouble, milk it all day and go home on time every time. Not all do it this way but there’s enough. And who can blame you really with the way this company runs things in the field...lol. Got people in charge that’ve never touched a tool in their career, but will always claim there’s a strike reserve workforce when it’s time....sure.

You aint seen crying yet until they make core techs install tv service lugging that dish up. 😂

Anyway this thread has gone south, it happened or it didn’t happen? I was there and part of it and I wasn’t??? Guys can’t put together coherent posts, whatever.

And stolen what?? Drill bits? Screws? Cheap hand tools? C-appy drills? Wire? Oh yeah what a big haul.... All that stuff will be dumped and forgotten by some fat 1st lines likely to never be used again.

Good! No fault to the folks who hired on as prem techs, but maybe now the premise work(from the serving terminal in) will go back to the wage scale 30 Service Techs(in the SE) where it belongs before the union sold them out and gave their ST work to a created lower wage job title. Adding more union members isn't good if it involves taking work from a higher waged member, matter of fact, it's just plain wrong.

This happen in Chicago area . This was not a lay off ...ibew stop the layoff unlike cwa. Again this was a walk out and not a layoff..

“Surplussed today or in 12 - 18 months... what's the difference?“

12-18 weeks of pay plus severance and whatever you’ve stolen.

Go figure the union steward wants to make it sound different then what actually happened. This does not rally it makes people furious that the union misleads to further their cause. This is why I hate union. 65 techs walk out....freaken stupid post.

3 weeks ago, 65 techs in the Raleigh area were given notice that they were being layed off and their last day on payroll was today, April 5. They did not leave voluntarily. Most reported to work today, their last day, to return keys, IDs, and devices.

They were walked out. They didn’t walk out.

NO walkout! 65 were surplussed in the Raleigh, NC area. 206 in total Southeast District. I guess you could call it a walkout, " Please leave we dont want you here anymore, OK we're gone"

Were they actually expected to work their last day? I’ve heard at other surplused yards they had techs turn in their tools/cpe and clean their vechicles out prior to their last day. So if that’s the case here, they walked for nothing.

Walked out because it was they last day on payroll. Not actual walkout. They didn't go because they wanted to.

They did T a favor. They are laying off prem techs all over Except for Illinois. Today I believe was the day for their last day on the books if they took the voluntary buyout in Illinois. This post makes no sense, but then again many of them on this page don’t.

Guys... it's the only move you have left.

They are going to surplus all of you! All of your titles will be subbed out. This isn't a "guess," it's what is going to happen.

If you want to hurt AT&T, they only way to do it is by doing what these BRAVE BROTHERS did today.

Quit on your own terms and leave these b*stards twisting in the wind.

They're not expecting you to do it. This is your only advantage: the element of surprise.

Surplussed today or in 12 - 18 months... what's the difference? The difference is that by you going all the way, you serve AT&T's schedule and agenda.

BRAVO!!! APPLAUSE!!!! APPLAUSE!!!!
