Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Baton Rouge market has had to adopt a saws process that pisses off customers. As a result less people are coming into the store

We have in place a modified version of the ABC (always be closing) process. A manager sits in the inventory room and if we don’t know where they work, how many kids they have, do they have a side job (to try to create a fake business account), who they have for tv, how many TVs they have in the house, what they watch the most, how much they spend, and what they enjoy doing outside of work...if we don’t have all that information then management makes us go back on the floor without the phone to get that info. They treat us as children and make us piss the customer off. Their reasoning is “once you get the phone from the back, the chancing of selling is over”. Don’t join the Baton Rouge market!!!

This is lay-off related.

Where do people think the money to run from this company comes from? The customers.

The frontline employees have a direct impact on customers, therefore the company’s income.

If their actions cost us money, we all lose ... guess why? LAYOFFS.

Fake business accounts? Report it. End of story.

This is a lay-off board, not for miscellaneous commenting. How does this relate to layoffs? Please don’t post here unless it’s relevant to job losses.

I have never considered the retail side of the house as real employees, who takes a sales position in a store and retires from it, much less stays in the position for 3 years? The churn rate on sales positions is so high, why would ever need to surplus anyone?

Here's a thought, just ask them ahead of time, and guess anything you missed. We're not really on here to sort out your job anyway.
