Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

This board has gone to sh--

I knew it was going to happen after 3/29 off payroll but so many incoherent posts...

Some of us still work at T and come to this board for information.

Some have been laid off and come for

Support.

Enough with the incoherent rambling

highly technical job? What makes you think you are safe with that? Those jobs are being outsourced and they are being let go as well. And if they aren't outsourced, they are being asked to train replacements with someone with an H1-B visa.

Mr or Mrs Sh--

Well the board is call "The Layoffs"

I was dumped 3/29 Blah Blah Blah

I don't wish bad things for you (got some great friends still at AT&T) is get ready. Rumor is layoffs every 3mo until Oct 2020. So your chances of staying at AT&T a long time are slim. No one gets to find out the criteria for the layoff so you never know what to do. Training Certifications, Great Evals, lots of key strokes. I was in Schaumburg and everyone there is on pins and needles about how to keep their job.

My suggestion is go get into a HIGHLY Technical Job. Also get your resume updated and ready to go. If you do get impacted by the layoffs get ready......4min discussion with your manager is all you get for your years of service. Right after that I suggest dumping all your workload and focus on finding another job inside or outside AT&T.
