Q2 will be a large management surplus (managers and area managers) followed by a significant workforce reduction in Q3 on the union side. If you feel you may be at risk start looking for other employment immediately. IEFS (Internet and Entertainment Field Services) and TFS (Technical Field Services) will be the most significantly impacted.

Craft has been emailed VSB offers this morning here in CA.
@1tmg Barbie Benton? You couldn’t have come up with a better celebrity?
This isn’t made up. This is relating to craft, not management. They don’t “target” by state they have been surplussing craft all over the place. I’m in the Midwest region and they just surplused a bunch of outside guys in each of our five state region. Same with all the SE regional states. They got hit too. Even my manager says this is just the beginning and they will pic us off bits at a time as the needs of the wireline business decrease more and more. The original poster probably just said California because that’s the only place they know what’s going on for sure.
Company don't give a sh-- about subscribers to legacy services. I have had to deal with celebrities that have gone without POTS services for days all crying and such. Especially in the Hollywood Hills. Poor cell service and they kinda rely upon their landline. "My producer can't call me". "They are doing my life story and can't get a hold of me". Barbie Benton and her neighbor were really p-ss-d when we didn't fix their landlines for days. Went Presidential. But still didn't get fixed in a reasonable time.
"Since when are they targeting by State? This is made up."
They target by State and / or Regional Areas / Unions all the time. Additionally, this may only be the impact seen in SoCal. The area of coverage for the overall reduction may encompass the entire West Coast region.
I’m OP. I only posted about California because it’s what I know to be fact. If it’s happening here it’ll likely be happening in your state also. Just trying to get what I know out there to help others prepare.
No - not made up. Our L1 admitted that 450 Techs and equivalent percentage of L1s are slated for third quarter in the SoCal region.
