Rebadging and impossible metrics will continue until enough people quit. EISP? What year do you think it is? Now, get back in your truck and hide behind a convenience store until you can do your days work on overtime.

The odds of a 5 and 5 are minimal, left VZ a while ago, glad I did, the place skunk to high heaven. Was there a a consultant just after 1992, for a week cause the place s---ed can back in the 2000 figured it would have changed, didn't same ID10T's running the place treating it like a money tree. Once VZ got full control of VZW figure it was time to go, package offered and accepted. The management of VZ has never had a plan, Yahoo, AOL? Ya great buy's if you like failure.. But then VZ has always been a failure. The only thing Management knows how to do is RIF.. Promote from withing, oh no we need to RIF and start over. Problem from the start was taking the in-tiled scum from VZ and putting them in change of VZ, before then you all had a chance.. Now I say us them for what every you can get, find something new an d move on... Don't expect a 5 and 5, don't expect anything but more IRF's it all they know how to do.. The Culture would need to shift mamothly in order for VZ to survive.. Sure they've got Gov't contracts, but ATT could absorb them and not even care. Cell phones are a commodity now, everyone has one or two in some cases and they don't want to pay a premium for service.. That's VZ's only claim to fame, overcharging for the same service everyone provides. Take all you can get as an employee and give them the BIRD on your way out you'll be much better for it.

The company needs to get the people with 5 weeks vacation (plus a week in ep/ph days) and who are at the top of the pay scale and who have a pension off of the payroll....that would be company wide. They pay insurance on the pension and also it cost money to manage it. They would save a boatload of money by enticing the older workers to retire. The sooner they do it, the more money they will save.
@1vhb The company TRIED to rebadge 2500 employees and only got 1500 to go, the rest took an ESP. The VSP took 10,400, not 14,400. Even so all that saved was small potatoes. They will need much more to get to $10B. I doubt there will be a company wide EISP. I do think there will be targeted ones, probably in support type staff vs. field.

An offer will probably be out to be off at end of June but big question is who will get it? We need one across the board.
Well the company is at 2.3 billion in savings after IT rebadged 3500 employees, VSP offer 14,400 managers took it, and 800 or so Oath layoffs. Just shy of 20k employees gone, several wireless call centers closing. And they want to get to 10 billion in operating savings by 1st qtr 2021....so define soon ? The company is ready now and has way more to do. 3rd Qtr is latest rumor for associates. LETS GO WITH THE BIG OFFER !!!

I wouldn't have done it, but for people in the repair load every day, or on the line crew, or traveling out if town 6 months out of the year, a management job is a chance to go a few years without feeling beat up and exhausted every day.
Besides, management who have been promoted from craft usually have a grace period to "regress" back into their old job title.

You have to deserve it, and to deserve it you need to work your entire career...wireless employees don’t work, they only deceive and fleece the customers. So no, you can not get an eisp.
I am a wireless employee and just got the VSP. Can I get the EISP too? I want more money.

I have a couple of coworkers who took promotions to management after the vsp, so now they are on the management calls. They have heard 5 and 5, enhanced pkgs, in 3rd qtr.
But those are just rumors. Nothing happens until happens.
